Apply To Be a Volunteer
Agora volunteers go through 40 hours of nationally accredited training to become Certified Crisis Hotline Specialists. Once training is complete, all volunteers commit to sit one 4-hour shift per week for a minimum of 220 hours (which is what a typical volunteer serves in one year).
At Agora, we welcome anyone 18 or older who is interested in becoming a volunteer to apply for our training program. If you would like to volunteer, please read the "Volunteer Commitment Agreement " below before filling out an application .
If you agree to the terms, then fill out the online application and click "submit". Once we receive your application, someone will email and/or call you to set up an interview. Please be aware that all applications are subject to the approval of our Director and Staff, and that we can only accept a limited number of applications per training.
